London (110)

One thing London doesn’t lack of is markets. This city has so many markets it can be hard to choose! You are able to find everything in these markets! So I have gathered some of my favorite markets for you here.

Borough Market
This is probably my favorite! One of the most famous food markets in London. Here you will be able to find fruits, vegetables and lunch. Sure, it is a heaven for everyone who loves food and want quality! They have everything from organic to vegan to great meats. During the winter you will be able to experience a small orchestra playing while you try all kinds of new food! If you are lucky you will also be able to meet Jamie Oliver or another famous chef 🙂 But beware it is crowded so come early

Monday to Thursday 10 am to 5 pm (but it is not a full market Monday to Tuesday)
Friday 10 am to 6 pm
Saturday 8 am to 5 pm

8 Southwark Street

Camden Lock Market
Camden is really something different. Here you will be able to find clothes, foods and accessories, but it is likely that they aren’t similar to anything else. Here you will be able to find alternative fashion, second hand clothing and funny looking art along with regular arts and crafts. There is plenty to see here!

Everyday 10 am to 6 pm

Camden High Street, London

Greenwich Market
Greenwich market has a mix of it all arts, foods/snacks and crafts. It is a must if you are near! The atmosphere is great with music by Trinity College of Music and the sound of happy people. It seems like there is no need to rush here because everyone keeps a slow paste here. If you are in Greenwich to see the time line you should take a stop at this market before heading back to London central. But it is the food that makes it more worth it 😉

Tuesday to Sunday: 10am – 5.30pm
Many market shops and pubs open all week.

High Road, 5b Greenwich Market, London SE10 9HZ

Portobello Road market
World famous from the movie Notting Hill. It is open 6 days a week with Saturday as the main day. Here you will be able to find second hand, fashion, food and antiques. You will probably find artifacts from the Second World War and a whole lot of ugly things you might not know what to use for. This place is very crowded! Especially on Saturdays, but the further you get away from Southern Portobello Road the less crowds you will find 🙂

Monday To Wednesday 9 am to 6 pm
Thursday 9 am to 1 pm
Friday and Saturday 9 am to 7 pm

Southern Portobello Road to Golborne Road, Notting Hill, London

Real food market at Kings Cross
The name pretty much says it all. Here you will be able to find everything within food: meats, spices, vegetables and more. You can try delicious dishes cooked on site and talk to the friendly traders and perhaps learn something new about the different produces. This market was former held at Southbank Centre, where I visited it, but it shouldn’t have changed.

Wednesday to Friday noon to 7 pm

Kings Cross Square, Euston Road, London N1 9AP
