I love people! Meeting new people is the best part of travelling. I love to hear their stories and everyone has a story. So I have dedicated a series of posts to the people – called Faces of the World. All of these photos are taking by me and I might even share their story. See part one, three and four for more photos of beautiful people!
I met this lovely lady during a walk through Cienfuegos, Cuba. I actually met her twice. Once while I walked through the town and once when I walked back to my Casa. She just sat there for hours watching people and life pass by. One of my favorite activities while travelling 😉 She was very honored by the fact that I wanted to take her photo and thought she looked lovely
I took this photo during Aarhus Festuge (a cultural festival here in Denmark) while I was on location because of a photo competition. I was suppose to take a picture of someone with expressive eyes. I really liked his eyes. I think they express trouble, concerns and thoughtfulness. The cigar and the pose was his own idea but I loved it!
I took this photo at Burlington in London. I was actually a bit shy, I don’t know why but I do get shy once in a while when I want to take photos. My mum persuaded to go ask, so I did. He was very friendly and wasn’t bothered at all. I guess he has been asked a lot of times before 😉
I met this lady on my first trip outside of Europe on my first day in Indonesia. She makes a living by collecting bottles and hand them in at the supermarket and get the deposit back. She was very tired and has probably worked very hard during her entire life
I only went on a day trip to Lesotho, but I kind of regret that I didn’t spend more time in this beautiful and untouched country. But on the other hand I didn’t really had time. We visited a small village in the north eastern corner. The village loved a visit and was happy to show us around and tell us everything we wanted to know. We even met the granddaughter of Lesothos founder. These kids followed us around and loved having their picture taking. This was taking during them playing so they didn’t know I took that photo
